
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in creative arts
- Ability to teach
- Ability to set up demonstration area and program, and to teach skills to staff and campers of all ages
- Desire and ability to work with children
- Ability to relate to one's peer group
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control
- College student or at least 19 years of age

- The Goal of Geneva Glen Camp is to provide experiences for children and youth that promote discovery of one's own dignity and worth; encourage respect for all races, creeds and backgrounds; stimulate love for and care of the natural world; develop commitments to enduring values; train youth as creative school and community leaders; and to empowering participators to live at their highest level and to enrich their home communities through what they have learned at Geneva Glen.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
- To plan, direct, and supervise camp's arts and crafts program.
- Set up crafts room before and during staff orientation
- Teach staff their responsibilities and activities during staff training
- Teach and monitor proper use of equipment
- Conduct inventory, store equipment for safety
- Create check-out and return system for craft supplies
- Create daily activities for campers
- Submit orders for supplies when needed, ensuring timely arrival of materials
- Assist in packing all materials at end of season
- Fulfill required duties as cabin counselor
- Evaluate current season and make recommendations for following season
- These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and others may be assigned as required
- Ability to communicate with staff and campers
- Ability to teach, supervise and moderate all craft activities
- Ability to operate equipment
- Ability to organize
